9 weeks old!

Miss Sydnee turned 9 weeks old on Sunday. Here's a video of her on her "birthday."

We went to the pediatrician yesterday. She's gotten so big- 12lbs 5oz (85th percentile) and 22 1/2 inches long (50th percentile). She also got two vaccinations and seems to be handling them quite well, no fever or crankiness. =)

Jaelen's first football game of the season...

Jaelen played in the first football game of the season Saturday. He plays running back and wide out for the Rocklin Jr. Thunder. He recovered a botched punt return, and caught two passes... Way to go!!!

We had a beautiful ceremony yesterday evening officiated by Rev Derf (same guy that married us). Here are some pictures... Our princess was looking just beautiful...

Guess what peanut head did in her sleep Friday night??

She rolled over. EEKS! Little miss had her 2am feeding and wouldn't burp so I put her on her tummy. I heard her grunting and making funny sounds so I clicked on the light. She was working on getting her arms under her body, pushed onto her side, and then went all the way onto her back. She sprawled out and was fully back to sleep. Incredible...

Happy 1 Month Birthday Miss Sydnee!

What a big girl... I think she's probably pushing 9-1/2 lbs. Here she is in the outfit we brought her home in... It actually fits now!

She's already 4 weeks old!

I can't believe how time flies! Here are some pictures of our last couple weeks. Sydnee's growing so fast and changing so much. At her 2 week check up (really almost 3 weeks old) she was 8 lbs 3 oz - gained all her birth weight back plus a pound! I weighed her at a mommy and me class last week Wednesday and she was 9lbs 8 oz with her diaper and clothes on... wonder how much they weigh??

Everyday is a new adventure over at the Scarborough house. Sydnee has a general pattern, but something throws a hitch in it. Last night was terrible- she napped thru 8pm fussy time and instead was up all night. We decided fussy time is necessary to our sleep a few hours later so we'll deal with the crying for a little while to get some extra ZZZ at night! The two nights before that she had a little bit of the fussies, took a nice calming bath and then slept 5 hours!!! We're going for that schedule again!!


Since Sidney went back to work, I've been 100% occupied with little Miss and catching up on naps. Sometimes I get to fit in a morning jog - essential to get back on the exercise wagon and prepare for that half marathon in October. The house looks like to tornado hit it, oh well. It's hard to ever get on the computer so this is a big deal that I get to post today! =) Big brother Jaelen is such a great brother - see his smiling picture below? I don't know how moms do a newborn plus one in diapers. With Jae I just tell him I'm taking a nap with the baby and he self-occupies with the TV, Wii or plays in his room. SOOO nice.

Here's the link to Miss Sydnee's newborn portrait session. These turned out beautiful! (As always with Jackie.) Little miss would not go to sleep and she pooped down my dress during the session (That's why I don't match - I had an extra top but not bottoms). Oh well, I guess we can always get those in black and white if we want them. =)

She's such a little firecracker! Everyday we think she changes in appearance, and boy are we getting a dose of her personality. She wants things her way, and she wants them done NOW. Ha ha ha. I guess we're in for a big challenge with her little attitude!
