We have the smartest kid!

Jaelen's progress report is in... 3.70! And he has an A in math! He's gotten a well earned B the last two trimesters. We're so proud of the way he's really taking responsibility this year. He even wants to start his science fair project tomorrow and it's not due for a month! (Guess he must not be really related to me.)

Babies 'R Us is too big!

So we finally did some baby registration last night. This is nothing like wedding registration. WAY more crap and Babies 'R Us is too big. It's just overwhelming to go in that place. The merchandise was disorganized and we were a little disappointed in the selection of some things... I just don't understand why half the junk in that place is needed. Seems like overkill. And of course the things we wanted were out of stock or not available in the store... FRUSTRATING! Anyhow, we DO have a registry there, but we're planning on doing more shopping at Pottery Barn Kids (for bed linens), Target and Goore's and then updating our registry later. I'm not impressed with the warehouse of all baby stores so I'd rather get my stuff elsewhere!

We also still can't find the co-sleeper bassinet I want either. The only one they had at Babies 'R Us was janky and looked like a mini playpen. Looks like Target is about the same, so Goore's it is!

29 week belly

Wow... creeping up on us quickly!

10 months and counting...

Yesterday made 10 months of happy marriage for us. Guess he's going to have to keep me now! Boy has it flown by... I can't wait for the next 100 months...

28 week appointment

We had our 28 week check up with Dr. Kathol yesterday. She said everything is great! The heart rate is still running in the 150's and my belly growth is normal. I was relieved that my weight gain was finally within the "normal" range of 1lb/wk. I guess all that walking at Disneyland paid off.

We have to start doing kick counts every night. When the baby moves, check the time. Count 10 movements, check the time. We get up to 2 hours... we started at 9:25 last night... We were done by 9:30. =) Baby is like big brother - an A+ student!

Just got my glucose tolerance labs back this morning. Everything is perfect, no gestational diabetes. Time to breathe a sigh of relief. You say "diabetes" in this family and everyone gets a little nervous (even if you don't think you have it). I'm happy I get to keep drinking that big glass of OJ first thing every morning - my only lingering craving!

Time to get ready for the next 10 weeks before we're full term! Nursery construction starts tomorrow!
